Day One

Head out west towards Bunratty to view the caste and folk park.

Overnight Ennis area
Day Two

Take a tour of the Burren region, an area of fascinating limestone landscape. Drive northwards via Corofin and Lisdoonvarna and then take the coast road to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Continue northwards along the coast via Ballyvaughan and Kinvara and then on to the city of Galway. Some free time in this lively University City before taking the road west into the heart of Connemara.

Day Three

Spend the entire day touring the spectacular region of Connemara. This rugged region possesses a beauty that is almost mystical. Take the coastal road from Clifden passing through the quaint villages of Roundstone and Ballynahinch. Continue on through Recess, Maam Cross, up to Leenane and back to Clifden stopping en route to visit the palatial glory of Kylemore Abbey.

Overnight in Connemara

Day Four

Travel northwards via Westport, Castlebar and into Sligo. This town was the home to the famous Irish poet, W.B. Yeats and you can visit his grave and see his famous epitaph at Drumcliffe just outside Sligo. Then continue northwards via Cliffony and Mullaghmore to arrive in County Donegal.

Day Five

Spend today touring the Donegal region. This part of Ireland is probably least well known to visitors and thus gives a rare insight into Irish culture and heritage. Travel out towards the coast via Killybegs. At Glencolmkille you can visit the Folk Village. From there, drive northwards via Ardara, Glenties and through the Derryveagh Mountains to Glenveagh Castle and Folk Park.
 
Day Six

Depart Donegal travelling south through Tubercurry, Claremorris, Tuam and visit Foxford Woollen Mills and Ballintubber Abbey en route.

Overnight Galway
 
Day Seven

This morning maybe take a relaxing cruise on Lough Corrib. Depart Galway for Limerick via Gort and Ennis. Spend some time in this Viking city visiting such attractions as St. Johns Castle and the Limerick Municipal Museum.

Day Eight

Your final day on the tour as you head homewards.
