On the way, stop off to take a tour of Foxford Woollen Mills and watch skilled craftspeople produce world-famous Foxford tweeds, rugs and blankets.  On arrival in Ballina, you may wish to visit one of the many tombs or megaliths to be found in the area or take time to watch the angler’s fishing for Ballina’s famous salmon at the Ridge Pool in the centre of the town.  Alternatively, you can travel a little further to Enniscrone, home to the Kilcullen’s Seaweed baths and enjoy a relaxing soak in a seaweed or steam bath.
